Blowin in the Wind
By: Joe P. Attanasio
I wrote these lyrics/poem for a contest/challenge on Booksie.com.
This is meant to be sung to the tune of "Blowing in the Wind" by Bob Dylan.
Blowin in the Wind

How many times can
you fall in love
Before they call
you a Cad?
Just how much
injustice can you watch in the world
Before it makes you
angry and mad?
Yes, Just how many
senseless deaths does it take
To make you cry
cause you’re sad?
The answer, my
friend, is blowin’ in the wind
The answer is
blowin’ in the wind.

How many poems must
a young man read
Before he feels
with his heart?
And how many plays
must a person see
Till they want to
act in a part?
How many times can
we walk in this world
Before we see
nature’s art?
The answer, my
friend, is blowin’ in the wind
The answer is
blowin’ in the wind.

How many times can
we see people’s needs
And not care to
give them a hand?
Yes, how many times
can we ignore the pain
And stick our heads
in the sand?
How many times can
we sit back and watch
Without us taking a
stand?
The answer, my
friend, is blowin’ in the wind
The answer is
blowin’ in the wind.
